Contemporary ceramic artist Kouzo Takeuchi has gained attention both in Japan and abroad for his outstanding handmade techniques and delicate sensibility.

The clay feels rustic, and the rough texture is achieved by sanding the surface before firing. Since it is waterproofed with a silicon glaze, it can be used as a vase for fresh flowers or as an objet d'art.
