It's the season to reflect on the past year, and I wish for a peaceful new year. TOKYO KODO will hold an exhibition, Incense Gallery 2024.
It is a world that extends from the visible to the invisible world.
A fragrance becomes a line,
quietly and surely, connecting different worlds silently and surely.
Under the theme of "Aura Enchantee," TOKYO KODO will, for the first time, attempt a new challenge from the invisible to the visible.
Aura Enchantée," a new work with a strong presence as an incense burner and interior object, will be presented.
The product was born from the "TOKYO KODO x WAKABAYASHI BUTSUGU" collaboration over four years. The two companies, both of which have carefully inherited the ancient culture of prayer, have joined hands to reinterpret Japanese incense culture in a modern way. The unique design of glass, steel, and marble materials brings new color and presence to the space. This design, a tool for burning incense but sublimated into a beautiful interior object, was born from the desire to create new value for incense.
From December 21 (Sat), a new incense "musou" (limited edition) in collaboration with "Studio Poetic Curiosity," a creative unit of Yusuke Aonuma and Kensho Miyoshi, who are engaged in innovative activities based on the concept of "poetic curiosity," will also be available.
Last fall, the first solo exhibition, "Studio Poetic Curiosity's Poetic Design," was held at SMP GALLERY, and we are fascinated by the unique worldview that floats freely in the fields of ART, DESIGN, and KOGEI.
