Masaki Ogihara is a painter and baker. "Painting" and "baking" are both "fermentation," an act that stimulates the imagination and evolves the artist's past, present, and beyond. In his first solo exhibition, we will see the trajectory of the artist's dedication from his early oil paintings to his new drawings.
The artist will be present in the gallery on:
Sep 7 Sat, 13:00 -19:00
Sep 23 Sat, 13:00 -19:00
Any changes will be notified on our Instagram account: @stylemeetspeople
About the Process
This show encompasses oil paintings made in 2007, recent acrylic works, pencil drawings, and new works.
I came to face art head-on, which meant I was seriously challenged to face myself.
To doubt myself and to doubt art.
Art is hard to explain and takes a lot of time.
You have to find answers.
What becomes interesting is when you express it in different ways or indirectly.
The following is a favorite quote of the late Teiji Horio, whom I respect:
In a world where information transmission through social networking services and the expansion of expression and communication of will through digitalization have become commonplace
However, I believe that there is still room for further expression.
