The supple and beautiful sculptural beauty was born from the hands of Washi (Japanese paper) fiber artist Maki Ishiwata. While preserving the roots of Washi, which has a thousand-year lifespan, she spins life's delicate yet resilient threads, constantly pursuing unique and unparalleled "forms."
We will present an installation centered on works made from handmade Washi, mainly focusing on her "Washi Hana" (Washi Flowers), showcasing their natural texture.
You will also be able to view four "Washi Hana" pieces photographed by the master of monochrome landscape photography, Michael Kenna, printed on Tesukiwashi, handmade Japanese paper.
The artist will be present on:
Nov 22 Fri / 24 Sun / 30 Sat :13:00 - 18:00
Dec 1 Sun/7 Sat/ 8 Sun/ 11 Wed: 13:00-18:00
We will inform any changes on Instagram (@stylemeetspeople).
